Some say you are never more than 400m away from a Rough Trade tote bag in London...

While we haven’t been able to verify this we’d argue there’s a fair few about, given we've parted with around 800k since they first surfaced circa. 2005. And while wearing your appreciation for your favourite record store quite literally on your sleeve is nothing new, at Rough Trade we've gone to great efforts over the past 18 months to improve the quality our core merch range. Sourcing better manufacturers and producing sustainable, 100% cotton garments has enhanced the wearability and credibility of our apparel tenfold. Additionally, collaborating with quality, reputable brands on items including accessories and streetwear has broadened our range - recent highlights include the Slam City Skates collab tee and Manhattan Portage Record Bag.

Ultimately, whether you're pulling on a sweater or transporting records from the counter to your home stereo, we want our merch lines to not only look great but feel amazing on.

So, what's on offer?

T-shirts

A music fan's wardrobe staple. Black on white, white on black or black on black. All of our t-shirts are made of 100% organic cotton 220 G/M², printed with a subtle Rough Trade logo on the front and larger logo on the back with a woven label hem detail. Fit is regular (unisex).

Sweatshirts, Hoodys and Zip-Ups

A trio of easy-to-wear garments, perfect for layering or taking the chill off those crisper spring days and early summer evenings. Choose from our classic sweatshirt in black or grey, cosy hoody or versatile zip-up version. All are made from 100% organic cotton 500 G/M², featuring an embroidered subtle Rough Trade logo on the front and woven label hem detail.

Hats, Scarves and Bags

Choose from a solid range of headwear to suit all styles and needs, comprising a five-panel cap, cord cap, bucket hat and beanie in black or grey.

The first ever Rough Trade terrace scarf arrived just before Christmas at the end of 2023. Necks beware this is a limited Edition design, so once these babies are gone, they're gone.

Brand new for 2024, in addition to our existing tote and hip bag, we've teamed up with Manhattan Portage again, this time on their best-selling Mini Messenger bag. We've also given our classic black tote bag an upgrade in the form of a heavy duty, dual handle shopper - coming soon!
