Record Store Day returns on Saturday 18th April, a cornerstone in the indie music calendar. We are thrilled to welcome you to our stores across the UK, Germany and the US. This special day brings together music lovers, collectors, artists, and the amazing communities that make independent record shops so vital to music culture.
From exclusive limited-edition vinyl and rare releases to live performances, DJ sets and special in-store moments, Record Store Day is a chance to celebrate physical music and the continued success of independent retail.

Record Store Day UK | War Child Exclusives
Record Store Day UK continue the support of official charity partner War Child in 2026 with fifteen exclusive Limited Edition releases from artists including The Cure, The Vaccines, Fleetwood Mac, Corinne Bailey Rae, Divorce, Dr Feelgood, James Dean Bradfield, Kaiser Chiefs, Mark Knopfler & Emmy Lou, Primal Scream, Rory Gallagher, Sigrid & Bring Me The Horizon, The Streets and The Vaccines.
All titles will be available behind the counter exclusively at Rough Trade on Saturday 18th April 2026 to celebrate Record Store Day.
Online Sale
All remaining RSD UK and US titles will go on sale online at 8pm (BST/EST) on Monday 20th April 2026.
All remaining RSD Germany titles will go on sale at 9pm (CEST) on Monday 20th April 2026.
RSD 2026 Shopping Guidelines
Please note ahead of the day:
- UK Stores open from 8am (BST) including our coffee bars at East, Bristol and Liverpool. Live music at all UK shops apart from Rough Trade Vintage.
- Rough Trade Berlin will open from 9am (CEST) including their coffee bar and live music.
- Rough Trade Below (NYC) will open from 9am (EST). The annual iNDIEPLAZA will return for its fifth year. A free festival at the Rockefeller Plaza celebrating independent music.
- As usual, one copy per person, only. For fairness sake, we have to prohibit multiple buys of the same release.
- Strictly first come, first served - no customer reservations.
- We will be providing a ‘personal shopping service’ for Record Store Day releases (as store access will be limited). So, please have your wish list ready prior to entering the store, and Rough Trade staff will look to obtain your selections for you.
- To help us manage the safe capacity of the store, we kindly ask that you are prompt with your custom, helping us ensure everyone receives service, as fast as possible.
- As it will be a busy day with unprecedented requirements, we kindly ask that you are patient and courteous to all our staff members.
