An intimate portrait of an enchanted spirit.

Virginia-born, LA-based artist Kate Bollinger releases her debut album Songs From A Thousand Frames Of Mind this September following her woozy 2022 gem, Look At It In The Light. Recorded, produced, and mixed by Sam Evian, Bollinger and her band (including Sam as well as collaborators Jacob Grissom, Adam Brisbin and Matthew E. White) conjure lush, magical and gorgeously melodic songs, inspired by pop, rock, and folk songs of the 1960s.

"Both my older brothers played in bands and made home recordings. I have many early memories of going to see them play. When I was eight, my mom and I took the train to visit my oldest brother in New York City, where he was attending college. I wrote my first song on the train and fell in love with songwriting."

Bollinger has been writing songs most of her life, encouraged by the musical projects she experienced locally, at home and in the nearby community. Drawing on these memories and evolving connections has presented a treasure trove of references, allowing the artist to carefully craft a communal-yet-personal body of work. Her intimate delivery and fluid lyricism, coupled with the considered instrumentation, is beautifully fresh but also captures a timelessness and warmth that is innately joyful.

Songs From A Thousand Frames Of Mind is the perfect collection of songs to lift forlorn days and soundtrack all manner of life's little encounters, Bollinger's ethereal indie the conduit through which to quietly escape daily mundanities. Sumptuously spellbinding.
