A big slice of melancholy pie, capable of making the most callous out there shed a tear.
Wolf Alice originally formed in London in 2010 comprising lead vocalist Ellie Rowsell and guitarist Joff Oddie. Since then they have welcomed bassist Theo Ellis and drummer Joel Amey to the line-up and released two albums as a four-piece. 2015's My Love Is Cool and 2017's Visions of a Life both received Mercury Prize nominations, the latter winning the title in 2018.
Let's get personal. Wolf Alice look inward on their third studio recording, with a big slice of melancholy pie, capable of making the most callous out there shed a tear. It's slower and quieter than anything they have done before, but they have found a way to maintain their trademark punch with heartfelt lyricism and muscular instrumentation.
