Who are Man/Woman/Chainsaw?
Bassist and vocalist Vera Leppänen, guitarist/vocalist Billy Ward, drummer Lola Cherry, violinist Clio Starwood, vocalist/keys player Emmie-Mae Avery and guitarist Billy Doyle are Man/Woman/Chainsaw, a dynamic six-piece formed in London by childhood friends Billy Ward and Vera Leppänen. For the past few years, the London outfit have quietly become one of indie music's thrilling live propositions, renowned for their weaving vocal interplay and astonishing precision.

What does Cannonball sound like?
Produced by Margo Broom (Fat White Family, Big Joanie), and Seth Evans (Geordie Greep, Black Midi), Cannonball showcases Man/Woman/Chainsaw's knack for rich, unconventional structures. Violins, distorted guitars, piano passages and splintered vocals. An album that is theatrical without ever feeling performative, vocals reaching eerie heights on tracks such as Get Up and Dance, or the mutual existence of both gentle folk melodies and a driving rhythm on album single Nosedive.
