Beginning November, Rough Trade customers can also get their hands on a selection of Marshall products in-store and online, and Rough Trade NYC’s listening station will be equipped with the brand’s headphones, offering fans a truly immersive experience.
The collaboration will also help nurture the engaged artist and music fan communities across all Rough Trade locations from the US to the UK, leveraging the collective ethos of two modern heritage brands and their shared commitment to cultivating the current and future generations.
"We are incredibly excited to be working together with Rough Trade. It’s the perfect partnership as we share a joint vision in supporting the independent music community. For Marshall, this newly forged alliance continues our commitment to nurturing and supporting emerging artists and enabling a new generation of musicians."
Nick Street, Chief Marketing Officer at Marshall Group
Beginning in a small Hanwell drum shop in the 1960s, where Jim Marshall sought to give then-local guitarists the sound they wanted, the result was the JTM45, an amp that reverberated with a much heavier sound than anything ever heard before. In a twist of rock and roll fate, those guitarists would go on to revolutionie music forever.
The brand also launched its own record label in 2016 to support young musicians such as Nova Twins (Rough Trade Albums of the Year 2022), as well as a live agency and recording studio in 2021.
"Rough Trade NYC is thrilled to join forces with Marshall to celebrate the best in new music. With Marshall’s renowned audio expertise and Rough Trade NYC's distinguished event program, this partnership combines the best of both worlds for the benefit of the New York music lover.”
Wesley Lyons, US Events and Promotions Manager at Rough Trade
